COURSE DESCRIPTION
ANM is a grass root level health works in India. Who is the first contact person between the community and health services and also health organization pyramid. Their services are considered important safe and effective care to communities . The role may help communities achieve the targets of national health programs. Objectives of the course to perform a comprehensive assessment of individual, family. Practice safe evidenced based nursing care. Appreciate human diversity and implication of global health care environment. Communicate with client requirement. Setup medical equipment in operation theater. Demonstrate basic skills in patients care.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Comprehensive assessment skills: ANMs will be able to perform thorough assessments of individuals and families, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social well-being. They will be skilled in identifying health needs, risk factors, and potential complications.
- Safe and effective nursing care: ANMs will demonstrate the ability to provide safe and effective nursing care based on evidence-based practices. They will be knowledgeable about administering medications, providing basic treatments, and implementing preventive measures.
- Cultural competence: ANMs will develop an understanding and appreciation for human diversity, recognizing the importance of cultural sensitivity in providing healthcare. - Operating medical equipment: ANMs will acquire the skills necessary to set up and use medical equipment, particularly in the operation theater. They will be trained in handling instruments, ensuring their proper functioning, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Basic patient care skills: ANMs will demonstrate proficiency in basic patient care, including activities such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing comfort measures. They will be trained to recognize and respond to changes in a patient's condition.
