COURSE DESCRIPTION
Panchakarma involves five procedures of cleansing the body. The treatment includes preventive , and curative, actions for various diseases. The intention is to cleanse the body and have a relaxing effect on the body and mint. Providing training in this field is our intention as well as to train ayurvedic Therapist. To be an ayurvedic therapist ,there is no need to learn science at the plus two level. The students will be taught the ingredients of various medicines ,how there are used, and how they are prepared in the right ratio. Extensive knowledge and skills are imparted during the course of the study. Massage ,uzhichil , pizhichil methods are also taught.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Understanding Panchakarma Procedures: Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the five procedures involved in Panchakarma, including Vamana (therapeutic vomiting), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (nasal administration of medicines), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). They will learn about the indications, contraindications, and techniques for each procedure.
- Knowledge of Ayurvedic Medicines: Students will be taught about the ingredients used in various Ayurvedic medicines and their therapeutic properties. They will learn how to identify, select, and use these ingredients effectively. The course will cover the preparation methods and the right ratios to create effective Ayurvedic formulations.
- Practical Skills in Therapeutic Techniques: Students will acquire hands-on skills in various therapeutic techniques used in Ayurveda, including massage (uzhichil), oil pouring (pizhichil), and other specialized treatments. They will learn the proper techniques, sequences, and application of these therapies for different health conditions.
- Holistic Approach to Health: Students will gain a holistic understanding of health and well-being based on Ayurvedic principles. They will learn to assess and evaluate the individual's constitution (Prakriti), understand the factors that contribute to imbalance (Vikriti), and develop personalized treatment plans to restore balance and promote overall wellness.
- Professional Ethics and Communication: The course will emphasize the importance of professional ethics and effective communication in providing Ayurvedic therapies. Students will learn how to establish rapport with clients, maintain confidentiality, and provide clear instructions on post-treatment care.
- Safety and Hygiene Practices: Students will be trained in maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene during the delivery of Ayurvedic therapies. They will learn about proper sterilization techniques, the use of clean equipment, and the importance of maintaining a clean and conducive environment for treatments.
The demand for Ayurvedic panchakarma therapist is ever increasing at an exploding rate. Increased number of therapy centres require skilled and trained therapist staff to provide quality and professional treatments to patients.
